Dr. Ross Ryan was raised in Franklin, Michigan and graduated from Brother Rice High School in 2002. He then attended the University of Michigan where he was the starting punter for the Wolverines in the 2005 and 2006 football seasons and received his Bachelor of Science in 2006. He was recognized as Michigan’s 2005 special team’s player of the year and earned Academic All Big Ten honors in both 2005 and 2006.
Dr. Ryan received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan in 2011 and continued his training at the AEGD (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) residency at the Audie L. Murphy VA Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Ryan then attended the University of Illinois at Chicago where he completed his specialty training in endodontics in 2014. During his final year of residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Dr. Ryan won the dental college’s Clinic and Research Day award for his case presentation on regenerative endodontics. In 2017, Dr. Ryan became board-certified, achieving Diplomate status with the American Board of Endodontics. He is one of the few endodontists in the area that has achieved this distinguished credential.
Dr. Ryan is currently a member of the American Association of Endodontics, American Dental Association, Michigan Association of Endodontists, Michigan Dental Association and the Oakland County Dental Society. He is on the Board of Directors with the Michigan Association of Endodontists and is currently the president-elect.
Dr. Ryan practiced endodontics in the Metro Detroit area for ten years prior to opening Bloomfield Endodontics in 2024. He has been voted a “Top Dentist” by a group of his peers in Hour Magazine every year since his endodontic career began in 2014. He is also an active member of the Football Alumni of Michigan—Go Blue!
Outside of the office, Dr. Ryan spends most of his time with his wife, Lauren, and their four young daughters.
